In 1962, David Bower Sr, purchased Mayers Cider Mill Inc., seeking to produce Apple Cider and Grape Juices reminiscent of of his fathers wines produced by his family's vineyard in PA. Mayers first 3 wines were produced in 2006, earning bronze and gold medals in the first competition in which they were entered.

Now, 46 years later, Mayers Cider Mill Inc Has now opened Mayer Lake Ontario Winery & Vineyards continues this tradition of excellence - producing high quality and growing to be one of the leading juice & wine producers in New York's.

David Bower and his family is carring on the dream of building a quality vineyard, seeking to not only showcase the quality wines that can be produced in New York State, but also to remain dedicated to preserving the German heritage from which the vineyard has grown.
